Hours: Full Time

Position: The position is ideal for a bookkeeper with experience of working in an accountancy practice

Salary Package: Competitive - dependent on experience

We are a dynamic and successful firm of Chartered Accountants based in Sevenoaks, Kent looking for a bookkeeper to join our friendly team. This is a varied and interesting role for someone looking to build their skills and develop their career.

The Main Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Preparing VAT returns
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Posting sales and purchase invoices
  • Posting journals
  • Dealing with financial paperwork and filing

The Successful Applicant:

  • Good IT skills with experience in Excel and various accounting software (experience in Sage, Xero and Dext software are an advantage) 
  • AAT to equivalent qualification is desirable, but being qualified by experience is more important
  • A good understanding of Double Entry bookkeeping
  • Accurate an thorough with attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise/organise work and meet deadlines
  • Have good written and spoken communications skills
  • Can provide a quality client service
